Pittsburgh Pirates Millennium Falcon Come To The Pirates’ Side Shirt
This coming week will mark the official start of summer—though Hollywood stars are already dressing the part. On the red carpets this week, A listers have been putting fresh twists on summery fashion staples be it floral prints, miniskirts, or strapless silhouettes. Instead of appearing ready for a day at the beach, however, these celebrities have elevated seasonal essentials and made them feel both evening and party ready. The best ensembles this week were those that leaned into an effortless and easy breezy vibe. (It’s the summer spirit, after all.) At the premiere of Asteroid City in New York, Scarlett Johansson looked to a crisp white Carolina Herrera dress that featured a halter neck and floral embellishments. It was prim and proper, yet totally unfussy. Same goes for the Alaïa shirtdress that Jennifer Lawrence wore for a No Hard Feelings photo call in Madrid the actor elevated the summer essential with a thick leather belt and muled heels.
Pretty florals also had a moment on the step and repeats this week. Emilia Clarke looked to a sweet, strapless Emilia Wickstead frock for her Secret Invasion premiere in Los Angeles, while Tracee Ellis Ross chose Jil Sander’s graphic yellow floral dress for the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, complete with a caped silhouette. Garden chic! If subtlety is more one’s taste, however, Keke Palmer’s Sergio Hudson gown at the 2023 Fragrance Foundation Awards proved that a classic LBD will never go out of style. Which were your favorite celebrity looks this week? Be sure to vote below, and check back on Friday to see which ensemble is the ultimate best dressed of the week. Ever since Beyoncé kicked off her Renaissance tour back in May, the singer has been bringing silver, Club Renaissance ready ensembles to the stage. Wearing custom looks from labels such as Mugler, Alexander McQueen, and Balmain, the star’s style fashion M.O. has been heavy on the glamour and sequins. But last night, for her latest stop in Amsterdam, Beyoncé switched things up—and debuted her most ethereal look yet. Her new style vibe? It was less disco wear, more angelic and otherworldly. Opening the show with “Dangerously in Love,” Beyoncé took the spotlight in a custom creation from Iris van Herpen—the futuristic Dutch designer known for her sculptural, avant garde silhouettes. (She also created one of the looks for Beyoncé’s “Mine” music video.) Given that van Herpen’s studio is based in Amsterdam, it also continues the pop star’s streak of wearing local labels at different stops on the tour—an example of fashion diplomacy at its finest.
