 It didn’t take long for A listers to begin working with Scott after he joined the house in 2013. One of the designer’s earliest muses was Katy Perry. The pop star famously wore four different Moschino looks for her 2015 Super Bowl halftime performance the costumes including a beach ball inspired dress, a flame dress, and a bejeweled sports jersey. Perry has also worn Scott’s Moschino to the Met Gala on multiple occasions most famously in 2019, when she wore his chandelier dress on the red carpet (it even lit up!) and a wearable hamburger at the after party.  Earlier this week was the official start of spring, and it didn’t take long for Hollywood A listers to slip into the perfect seasonal dresses. The week’s best dressed stars zeroed in on silhouettes for day and night that were easy and effortless but still made a major impact on the red carpet. Great colors, textures, and cuts shined in particular. At the inaugural Fashion Trust U.S. Awards in Los Angeles, for instance, there were a few looks worthy of a double take. Demi Moore hit the red carpet in a silky green Givenchy slip dress, with an oversized black coat draped off the shoulders; Jurnee Smollett went a more avant garde route in her red leather Marc Jacobs frock, which had a bust shaped into rose petals. Storm Reid, meanwhile, went a more glitzy route in Simkhai’s metallic silver mini dress, which had straps in all of the right areas (it would also be the perfect look to wear to Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour this summer).  It s not to say the week’s best fashion moments were only seen on the red carpet, though. While out and about in L.A., Rihanna was spotted wearing a cropped Loewe polo shirt, exposing her baby bump underneath. Paired with baggy jeans and Timberland boots, as well as a monogrammed Louis Vuitton clutch bag, the polo further cemented her status as the best dressed mom on the scene.  Diehard fans of Swift could easily catch how her new costumes nod to her past. Styled by Joseph Cassell Falconer, they served as modern updates to signature Swift looks. Her gold, fringed mini dress by Roberto Cavalli, for instance, referenced a similar Cavalli dress that Swift wore during her Fearless tour back in 2011. “We chose a beautiful champagne color, which is very Taylor,” Roberto Cavalli designer Fausto Puglisi tells Vogue. The designer also created the embroidered Rhombus top and mini skirt for her 1989 set, as well as the embroidered snake catsuit Swift wears to perform songs from her album Reputation. “It’s more of a badass, rock and roll look,” says Puglisi.
